The IBM ESD8 1.1TB 10K RPM SAS SFF-3 Disk Drive for IBM Power iSeries systems has 59D8 CCIN, 00E9923 part number, and includes a 2.5-inch Small Form Factor (SFF) Gen-3 carrier tray for SFF-3 SAS bays. The IBM ESD8 iSeries Disk Drive is formatted for 528 byte sectors, and can be reformatted to 512 byte sectors for 1.2 TB capacity. IBM i does not support 512 byte sectors. The IBM ESD8 feature code is designated for IBM i Power Systems and has part number 00E9923, and is identical to the IBM ESD9 1.2TB Disk Drive for Power AIX and Linux systems, with 00E9924 part number, and reports with the same 59D8 CCIN.
