IBM AGKN is a LTO8 6Gb SAS Half-High Tape Drive that has a single 6Gb interface port, has 00GH810 part number and has a maximum native data transfer rate of 300 MB per second and can be installed in an IBM TS4300 Tape Library Model 3555. The IBM AGKN LTO8 6Gb SAS HH Tape Drive cables are not included and must be ordered separately and are required to attach the TS4300 IBM LTO Tape Library to a host.

The IBM TS4300 LTO8 Tape Drive is a high-performance, high-capacity tape storage backup and restore device for IBM i, AIX, Linux Power Servers and other open system platforms. IBM Ultrium 8 or LTO8 tape cartridge can store up to 6 TB of uncompressed data or up to 15 TB of compressed data assuming a 2.5 to 1 compression ratio.

The actual capacity varies depending on the application, the type of data, and the tape cartridge. 6 TB is typical and 15 TB is possible when the Data Compression setting is activated. The default setting of Data Compression is controlled by the host system. The user and the application software can control the activation or deactivation of the data compression setting. The drive can typically achieve a 2.5:1 compression ratio.
