IBM AGLC LTO9 Fibre Channel Full-High Tape Drive is for an IBM TS4300 Tape Library and has 02XX417 part number. The IBM AGLC LTO9 Tape Drive has a two 8 Gb interface ports that delivers a maximum native data transfer rate of 400 MBps, will auto-negotiate to lower speeds, and can be installed in an IBM TS4300 Tape Library Model 3555. The IBM AGLC LTO9 Fibre Channel Half-High Tape Drive cables are not included and must be ordered separately and are required to attach the TS4300 IBM LTO Tape Library to a host adapter. The IBM LTO9 Tape Drive is a high-performance, high-capacity tape storage backup and restore device for IBM i AS400, AIX, Linux Power Servers and other open system platforms. The IBM Ultrium 9 or LTO9 tape cartridge can store up to 18 TB of data natively or 48 TB compressed.

IBM LTO9 tape drives provide 400 MBps data transfer rates for uncompressed backups, a whopping 900 MBps for the 12 Gb SAS Full Height drives and 700 MBps for Fiber Channel drives with 2.5:1 compression. The IBM AGLC LTO9 Fiber Channel Tape Drive with 02XX417 part number can be purchased in a half height format as a IBM AGLA LTO9 Fibre Channel Half-High Tape Drive with 02XX413 part number, of which only has one 8 Gb ports that provides a 300 MBps maximum native data transfer rate. Other LTO9 tape drive options for the IBM TS4300 LTO Tape Library include the IBM AGLB LTO9 SAS Tape Drive which has part number 02XX411 and is a Half-High drive with two 12 Gb ports, providing a 300 MBs maximum native data transfer rate.
