IBM AGKF 00GH761 LTO6 Fibre Channel Half High Tape Drive
IBM AGKF is an LTO6 single port Fibre Channel Half-High Tape Drive that can be installed in an IBM TS4300 Tape Library Model 3555, has 00GH761 part number, and has a maximum native data transfer rate of 160 MB per second, but will auto-negotiate to lower speeds. The IBM AGKF LTO6 Fibre Channel Tape Drive cables are not included and must be ordered separately and are required to attach the TS4300 IBM LTO Tape Library to a host Fibre Channel adapter. The IBM LTO6 Tape Drive is a high-performance, high-capacity tape storage backup and restore device for IBM i, AIX, Linux Power Servers and other open system platforms. IBM Ultrium 6 or LTO6 tape cartridge can store up to 2.5 TB of uncompressed data or up to 6.25 TB of compressed data assuming a 2.5 to 1 compression ratio.

All IBM LTO6 Tape Drives have a 160 MB per second maximum native transfer rate.

The actual capacity varies depending on the application, the type of data, and the tape cartridge. 2.5 TB is typical and 6.25 TB is possible when the Data Compression setting is activated. LTO data transfer rates are also greatly improved when using compression. The default setting of Data Compression is controlled by the host system. The user and the application software can control the activation or deactivation of the data compression setting. The drive can typically achieve a 2.5:1 compression ratio.
