8286-41A IBM Power8 Memory Upgrades S814

IBM POWER8 8286-41A S814 systems support up to 1TB of memory on EPX0 6-core and EPX6 8-core systems, whereas the 4-core EPXK processor system has a maximum of 64GB of memory. The IBM S814 8286-41A POWER8 system models has 16 slots for memory DIMMs. IBM POWER8 Memory uses both buffered DDR3 or DDR4 DIMMs, featuring IBM's Centaur chip embedded directly onto the memory DIMM. IBM DDR4 and DDR3 memory features are the same 1600 MHz speed, use the same L4 cache and the same memory controller. All IBM POWER8 memory is in used or refurbished condition, includes warranty, free technical support by phone or email and is guaranteed for IBM maintenance contracts.

Memory features must be added in identical pairs with firmware 860 or later. All Power8 S814 8286-41A main storage features are supported on IBM i V7R1 TR8 and higher, AIX 6.1 and higher, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
