The IBM 59C8 1.2TB 10K RPM SAS SFF-1 Disk Drive can be formatted to 528 byte sectors for IBM i, Power AIX, Linux Servers or VIOS systems with 1.2 TB capacity or 512 byte sectors for 1.1 TB capacity. The IBM ESD1 and ESD0 are identical disk drives but have differetn feature codes for IBM configuration tools to know which OS type, SAS disk bay and carrier tray will be used for the disk drive.
