The new Power10 model S1022 is the perfect server for high transaction volume workloads running Oracle, SAP HANA, IBM DB2, IBM Red Hat Openshift, hybrid cloud ecosystems and Open Source Databases OSDB like PostgreSQL, Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres and Enterprise Database EDB. IBM Power10 technology reduces licensing costs and total cost of ownership, while also delivering the most reliable and secure end to end platform in its class. IBM AIX and Linux Server operating systems are supported on the IBM S1022, and is a perfect fit for workloads that require 24x7 application availability, and security is of the utmost importance. The new Power10 models leverages in-core AI inferencing capability with no additional specialized hardware required. AI inferencing allows you to extract insights from your most sensitive data where it resides, eliminating the time and risk of data movement. The IBM S1022 9105-22A system is not only among the fastest enterprise servers in its class, it is extremely scalable, and utilizes transparent memory encryption within the processor for Zero Trust security and end-to-end encryption, and supports quantum cryptography and fully homomorphic encryption for FIPS 140-2 level 4 security requirements.
The IBM S1022 Power10 model 9105-22A support multiple IBM i LPARs that are virtualized via VIOS, but LPARs cannot be larger than 4 cores in size. IBM i environments on a S1022 fall into an IBM P10 software tier.
