IBM 9119-MHE Power8 server nodes have 32 CDIMM slots, supporting up to 8TB of DDR4 memory or 4TB of DDR3 memory per node, providing 32TB maximum DDR4 memory in a four-node Power8 server or 16 TB of DDR3 memory. IBM DDR3 and DDR4 technology memory features both provide the same 1600MHz performance. IBM 9119-MHE Power8 server nodes must have at least half of the 32 memory slots physically filled. The CDIMM slots of the SCMs must be either 50% or 100% filled. The 9119-MHE system node (four SCMs) CDIMM slots can have 16, 20, 24, 28, or 32 CDIMMs phyisically installed.
