(#2838) PCI 100/10Mbps Ethernet IOA

The 100 Base-X Ethernet PCI Adapter feature will allow the iSeries to attach to standardized 100Mbps high speed Ethernet LANs and also allow attachment to existing 10Mbps Ethernet LANs. The adapter comes with an RJ45 connector for attachment to UTP-5 media.

If #2724 is selected, then #0220 (Token-Ring on IPCS) is required for each #2724 selected to run on the #6617/#6618.

If #2723 is selected, then #0221 (Ethernet on IPCS) is required for each #2723 selected to run on the #6617/#6618.

If #2838 is selected to be run on a #2854, then #0222 (100/10Mbps Ethernet on IPCS) is required for each #2838 selected.

#6617, #6618, or #2810

PCI slot with required #2824 or the base controller in #5065/#5066 tower

PCI slot with required base controller in #503X Migration Tower I, or #9364/#5064 with #9329 or #9330
