The IBM 59EA 775GB SFF-3 Enterprise SSD IBM Power systems is a 2.5-inch SAS Solid State Drive with eMLC, formatted with 528 byte sectors. The IBM 59EA SSD is supported in SFF Gen3 SAS bays (SFF-3) in IBM Power8 and Power7 system unit, has 00E8671 part number and can have ES0P, ES0N or EL13 feature code. IBM ES0N, ES0P and EL13 SSDs are physically identical solid state drives, but have different feature codes to specify which OS type the SSD is used on. ES0N indicates usage by AIX, Linux or VIOS, and ES0P indicates usage by IBM i and EL13 is for IBM Power Linux servers.
