IBM ES0M 387GB SFF-3 SSD with eMLC for Power iSeries
IBM ES0M 387GB SFF-3 SSD with eMLC for IBM i Power systems is a SFF 2.5-inch Solid State Drive formatted with 528 byte sectors. The ES0M SSD is supported in SFF Gen3 SAS bays SFF-3 in the Power8 system unit and reports with 59E6 CCIN. ES0M has third generation IBM Enterprise SSD flash memory technology, providing extremely reliable, cost effective SSD storage. The ES0L and ES0M Solid State Drives are physically identical drives which have different feature codes that specify how the SSD is used. ES0L indicates usage by IBM AIX, Linux or VIOS, and ES0M indicates usage by IBM i.
The ES0M SSD cannot be used in 5887 EXP24S Gen2 I/O drawer due to physical difference in the tray/carrier. 512 byte sectors and thus JBOD mode for AIX/Linux is not supported
