The IBM 1794 177GB SFF SAS Solid State Drive (SSD) has 58B4 CCIN and 74Y5296 00E6053 part numbers, and is formatted to 528 byte sectors for IBM i Power systems. The 58B4 IBM SSD supported in the IBM 5887 EXP24S I/O expansion draw and with the following IBM iSeries Power System Models: 8202-E4B, 8202-E4C, 8202-E4D, 8205-E6B, 8205-E6C, 8205-E6D, 8231-E2C, 8231-E2D, 8233-E8B, 8408-E8D, 9109-RMD, 9117-MMB, 9117-MMC, 9117-MMD, 9119-FHB, 9179-MHB, 9179-MHC, 9179-MHD. The IBM 1794 SSD is identical to the IBM 1793, but have different feature codes to help the IBM configuration tools understand how the SSD is used. The drive is supported in SFF-2 or gen2 SAS bays such as provided in the 5887 EXP24S I/O drawer, but not in the CEC or in Gen1 Bays of IBM 5802 and 5803 I/O drawers due to physical difference in Gen1 and Gen2 carriers.

The IBM 1794 includes warranty, free technical support, is eligible for IBM maintenance contracts and only available in used or refurbished condition.
