1737 IBM 856GB 10k RPM SAS SFF iSeries Disk Drive is supported on the following iSeries and IBM Power systems: 8202-E4C, 8202-E4D, 8205-E6C, 8205-E6D, 8231-E1C, 8231-E1D, 8231-E2C, 8231-E2D, 8233-E8B, 8408-E8D, 9109-RMD, 9117-MMC, 9117-MMD, 9119-FHB, 9179-MHC & 9179-MHD. The IBM 1737 856GB SFF 10k rpm SAS disk drive reports as a 19B4 CCIN, has 74Y9271 74Y9260 part numbers, uses a Gen1 SFF carrier and requires a SFF SAS bay that most IBM Power system units or IBM 5802 or 5803 I/O expansion disk drawers. The 1737 is formatted for 528 byte sectors for IBM iSeries systems, however the 19B4 disk drive can be reformatted to 512 byte sectors to be used by IBM Power AIX, Linux and VIOS systems. The IBM 1737 19B4 74Y9271 74Y9260 is identical to the IBM 1751 74Y9272 19A4 900GB 10K RPM SAS SFF Disk Drive AIX Linux. The IBM 1737 disk drive can not be used in IBM EXP24S 5887 Gen2 I/O drawer due to physical difference in Gen1 and Gen2 carriers.
