IBM 7042-CR9 Hardware Management Console HMC Model Specifications
The IBM 7042-CR9 HMC also supports advanced service functions, including guided repair and verify, concurrent firmware updates for managed systems, and around-the-clock error reporting with Electronic Service Agent for faster support. The 7042-CR9 HMC management features can monitor and manage server utilization and enable simple provisioning of server resources that use PowerVM virtualization technology and temporary and permanent capacity on demand (CoD) activations. A IBM HMC is required for temporary CoD activation. An IBM HMC or the ASMI interface can be used for permanent CoD upgrades.
