IBM AHB3 2076 16 Gb FC 4 Port Adapter Cards V7000 2076-624

The IBM AHB3-2076 provides two I/O adapter cards, each with four 16 Gb Fibre Channel ports and shortwave SFP transceivers for the IBM V7000 2076-624 Storwize Storage System. The AHB3-2076 adapter feature can have 01YM331 and 01YM333 part number. The IBM AHB3-2076 adds 16 Gb Fibre Channel connectivity to the IBM V7000 Storwize storage control enclosure. The IBM AHB3-2076 supports longwave transceivers that can be intermixed on the card with shortwave transceivers in any combination. The IBM ACHU Longwave transceivers must be specified when ordering.

Technical Specifications and Requirements for the IBM AHB3 2076 16 Gb FC 4 Port Adapter Cards (Pair):

One AHB3-2076 adapter can be added to the IBM V7000 2076-624 Storwize Storage System when there is only one AHB5-2076 10 Gb Ethernet 4 Port Adapter Cards (Pair) adapter.

Two AHB3-2076 adapter can be added to the IBM V7000 2076-624 Storwize Storage System when there is zero AHB5-2076 10 Gb Ethernet 4 Port Adapter Cards (Pair) adapter.

Every IBM V7000 2076-624 Storwize Storage System requires at least one AHB3 2076 16 Gb FC 4 Port Adapter Cards (Pair) I/O adapter feature or one AHB5-2076 10 Gb Ethernet 4 Port Adapter Cards (Pair) I/O adapter feature.

The IBM AHB3 2076 16 Gb FC 4 Port Adapter Cards (Pair) is not compatible with feature ADN2 on the initial machine order.

When feature 5555 is present on the order, maximum allowed is 255 per feature.

When feature ACWX is present on the order, maximum allowed is 255 per feature and requisite features are not applicable.

The IBM V7000 2076-624 Storwize Storage System Enclosure supports up to 24 2.5-inch SAS flash drives, 256 GB cache, can attach up to 20 expansion enclosures (504 SFF disk drive maximum), has two node canisters with a 10-core processor in each, supports Fiber Channel, iSCSI, FCoE and Ethernet connectivity. IBM Storwize V7000 systems support up to four V7000 SAN system in a cluster, for a total of 1,056 drives, delivering maximum performance and bandwidth. IBM Storwize V7000 is a virtualized, software-defined SAN comprised of hardware components and IBM Spectrum Virtualize Software. All functional capabilities for the IBM Storwize V7000 system are provided through Spectrum Virtualize software, which can also virtualize non-IBM storage. Existing IBM 2076-12F and 2076-24F expansion enclosures can be attached to the IBM V7000 2076-624 Storwize Storage System, as well as newer IBM Storwize SAN models like the IBM V7000 2076-724 Storwize Storage System.
