IBM 3581 L17 Ultrium 1 LVD SCSI 7 Slot Autoloader
The IBM 3581 Model L17 has seven cartridge slots, 0.7 TB data capacity (native), 1.4 data capacity (comp.), and one Ultrium tape drive. The L13 Model is equipped with a Low-Voltage Differential (LVD) Ultra2 SCSI interface. 3581 L17 is technically identical to 3581 L13. IBM offered a standard 3 year warranty on the L13 and used a different model number to distinguish it from the L17 which only came with a 1 year warranty. IBM discontinued production of the L13 and L17 on 10/01/2004 so the manufacturer's warranty is no longer relevant.
Maximum data transfer rates are 15MB/Sec native and 30MB/Sec if 2:1 compression is achieved.
