IBM 3581 F28 Ultrium 2 2Gbps Fibre 8 Slot Autoloader

The IBM 3581 Model F28 features a single LTO2 tape drive with an 8 cartridge autoloader carousel. The IBM 3581 Model F28 comes with a Native Switched Fabric Fibre Channel attachment. Each LTO2 Cartridge is capable of storing 200GB Native and up to 400GB assuming 2:1 compression.

Maximum data transfer rates are 35MB/Sec native and up to 70MB/Sec if 2:1 compression is achieved.

The Ultrium Tape 2U Autoloader 3581 can be attached to the iSeries, pSeries, xSeries, AS/400, RS/6000, RS/6000 SP systems, Netfinity, and non-IBM servers, SAN switches, workstations, and personal computers that support 2Gbps Fibre Channel interface specifications.
