The IBM 2BDA is a GX++ Dual-port 12X Channel Adapter provides two 12X connections for 12X Channel applications on a an IBM Power System. The IBM 2BDA GX++ Dual-port 12X Channel Adapter has EJ04 feature code and 46K7529, 00E0644, 00E0646 and 74Y3232, 74Y3360 part numbers. The IBM 2BDA adapter allows the attachment of I/O Drawers designed for the 12X Channel. The IBM EJ04 adapter plugs into a GX++ bus slot in a system enclosure. The 12X Channel is connected in a loop and uses both connectors on the adapter. Up to four I/O Drawers can be attached in a single loop. This adapter must be used with the 12X cables. Connection to supported InfiniBand switches is accomplished by using the 12x to 4x Channel Conversion Cables, 1828, 1841 or 1842.
The IBM EJ04 GX++ Dual-port 12x Channel Attach feature is supported on the following IBM iSeries & Power Systems: 8202-E4C, 8202-E4D, 8205-E6C, 8205-E6D
