IBM i VTL Virtual Tape Library and Cloud Backup Archiving

An IBM i Virtual Tape Library VTL can shrink a backup window by well over half the time it takes to complete a backup using an LTO tape drive and improve restore speeds even more so. An IBM i VTL that uses true tape emulation, ensures plug and play compatibility without changing existing backup processes, and supports any model IBM i Power or AS400 system generation, any OS400 Version and Release and all IBM commands, menus, backup software and third-party backup software. An IBM i VTL also removes ongoing costs and manual labor associated with traditional tape backups, as well as significantly improving reliability.
