Software Upgrade for Enforcive Versions 8.3.X and higher - upgrading to Version 8.4.1
Including Policy Compliance Manager, Data Provider, OS400 Firewall, Encryption, Masking & Scrambling modules.
This page is for upgrading your IBM i to the latest Enforcive Enterprise Security version 8.4.1, from version 8.3 or higher. Check the IBM i version, by looking at the bottom right corner of Enforcive GUI or by running this command (dspdtaara rmtfil/SAKVA). Note: The GUI Client is backwards compatible with older versions, but the IBM i software is not. Other important notes are stated in the detailed Upgrade Instructions, please read before proceeding!

Important Notes: Do not start upgrade unless you can immediately END & restart QSERVER and QUSRWRK sub-systems after upgrade! Be sure to read and follow Enforcive's Operational Instructions required for any of the following tasks/events. Note: Enforcive cannot be replicated to another system. Enforcive must first be installed on the target system at the same version as source, then Enforcive can be replicated “AFTER” following the instructions for objects to exclude.

Important Note: If your system’s Serial Number, Model Number or Processor has changed, you will need a new license key. If it is urgent, contact Precisely Support using contact options at the bottom of this page. Perform the below steps and send the system output to your Midland Information Systems Account Representative or Precisely Support:
Run the following command: CALL PGM(QLZARCAPI)
Press F1 on the message at the bottom of the screen, press F10 to display the full message and email the copy/paste or screenshot.
Updating or Adding New Enforcive License Keys
Logon to Green Screen with ENFORCE User ID, upon logon, you will be prompted to update your license > Press F10. Copy/paste your new license code, and press F16 to apply.
To enter a license key for any optional module, tab over to the “System” menu and take option 4 for “Customer License Codes”.
Put a 2 next to the module, paste the license key, and press F16 to apply, not the enter key.
If you do not see your license key updated correctly in the following screen... do the process again, but use F16 this time.

Note: Support needs to know your Enforcive version on IBM i, OS400 version/release and system serial number. If there is a Job Log and/or error message in the GUI, send this information as well. This information helps us help you FASTER.
